2011-06-27 The Raidor : TurboStart Drilling!
The extremely quick and precise start up of the new Carbodiam Raidor will surprise you when drilling in any reinforced concrete!

The Raidor drill has a TurboStart “Roof Top” design that is both self-centering and self-sharpening. These features ensure a quick and smooth start-up!

“Time is money” and increasing the effectiveness of the operator improves the profitability of each job! Thanks to the sloping V-shaped profile, with only one point of contact per segment, the Raidor design eliminates vibrations at start-up and during drilling. This makes drilling easier, more precise and comfortable for the operator.

The Raidor drill bit is designed for exceptionally stable drilling from start to finish! This allows very accurate drilling in any position and is especially appreciated by the operators in wall and ceiling drilling situations. After the initial positioning of the rig and the tool, there is no need to guide the drill during the start-up. Raidor precision drilling reduces the effort required by the operator.

The Raidor will find its way in any situation, in any reinforced concrete.

2011-06-27 Qualification Green Tools Classification Camel Tools
Purchasing from companies that feel responsible for the future will encourage others to follow this example and help those companies continue their quest for a better future. With this in mind the European Diamond University introduces the new Green Tool Qualification and Camel Tool Classification for Diamond Tools.

Diamond Tools with the Camel Tool Classification have been tested to ensure the same performance, reliability, speed and durability with reduced watering during the cutting process. Using low water demanding tools will reduce the amount of mud produced. Camel Tools also contribute to reducing the nuisance for the environment as well as improve the operators work comfort.

The difference in consumption is defined with 3 levels of sobriety :
-25% H2O
-50% H2O
-75% H2O

For example three quarter less water, thus only one quarter of the water usually required, is enough to get the job done. This means four times less mud to collect and get rid off.

Carbodiam is the first company for which products have passed the Camel Tool tests and been certified as Camel Tools:
-75% H2O:
• All Cobrator wires
• Concrete screed blades: BIA, BIC, BIB
-50% H20
• Drills : Sharkor (H10)
• Wall saw blade: VX (with hot-forged segments)
• Floor saws : BTE et AHE
-25% H2O
• Drills : Tornador
• Floor Saws : BVE et AZE
• Wall Saws : MX.

The European Diamond University has also established the Green Tool Qualification specific Diamond Tools. A Green Tool contributes to reducing the impact on environment as much as possible and respect at least two commitments of the EDU Environmental Policy: « Your World Your Future ».
EDU announces that the following Carbodiam tools have been qualified as Green Tools :

• Raptor Green – Surfacing Wheel (no water, less dust, long life),
• Cobrator - Wire (Camel -75%, less noice, less dust),
• Heli-Tools – Surfacing Wheel (no water, no dust, rechargeable plates)

2011-06-23 Wall Sawing - Drastic Cost of Process Reduction!
When Carbodiam R&D department helps the sawing and drilling contractors to reduce their cost of process!
Since more than 55 years Carbodiam are developing new sintering and manufacturing processes with the objective of constantly improving our diamond tools and drastically improving their performances.

One of the main targets is to help our valuable customers to reduce their total cost of process including tool wear life, cutting speed, reliability, ease of maintenance and manipulation.

Today Carbodiam Group is proud to announce the arrival of the revolutionary EFT Forging Technology for the diamond segments! The forging process makes it possible to apply a violent “hit” on the segments (just like a blacksmith) changing the microstructure. This production process has made it possible to enhance both the cutting speed and the wear life of the diamond tool. The segments have a special design, reducing the vibrations and making the cut smoother. Forged segments are also allowing a uniquely high quality welding zone (interface between steel plate and forged segment) resulting in a more secure tool.

The marriage of this unique and patented technology within the diamond industry, the use of the highest quality synthetic diamond and metallic powder together with Carbodiam long experience have brought to the professional market the best ever made Wall Saw blade – The Alligator VX!

After hundreds of square meters cut, in the hardest heavily reinforced concrete aggregates, with a very wide range of wall saw machines we can now state that a new unbeatable Wall Saw Blade is born! The Carbodiam “Forged” Alligator VX can achieve 35% more than a “standard wall saw blade” with an amazing cutting facility!

As a professional contractor you are always looking to improve your performance, in order to ultimately reduce the cost of process. The Alligator VX Wall Saw Blade is THE IDEAL SOLUTION for your technical staff as well as your finance department.

Try it, use it, abuse of it: in other words Challenge us you'll be amazed!
